Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Senior Energy Analyst will be a key part of the management team responsible for providing energy consulting support and maintaining good working relationships with all customers.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Directly reporting to Supervisor of Energy Management.
+ Professional service to account relationships.
+ Building customer relationships as key member of management team.
+ Gathering and consolidating data from varied sources.
+ Managing utility information for multiple customers on a daily and monthly basis.
+ Validating and verifying customer costs and utilization using rate engines.
+ Fielding inquiry requests and managing problem resolution for customer utility-billing issues.
+ Coordinating and assisting with new customer account creation.
+ Improve and maintain documentation of shared code.
+ Holistically analyze our systems and identify process/tool improvements that enable scalable and repeatable results.
+ Collect and organize various energy data sources, develop analysis into processes and code using various tools such as Excel, VBA, MS Access, SQL, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and improve existing processes.
+ Create processes to streamline standard operations.
+ Develop R-based tools to drive automation efforts.
+ Provide results and derive insights on ad-hoc analytical projects.
+ Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional initiatives.
+ Developing customized reports to support specific customer needs.
+ Researching and identifying procedures for the authorizations of access to customer's utility information.
+ Providing follow-up with utility representatives and commodity suppliers as needed
+ Supporting administrative needs of the business, including but not limited to, accounting, reporting, the sales process, data entry, back-up phone support, and general administration.
+ Supporting project management requests as required by the rest of the upper management team.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
+ BS/BA required preferably in Business, Math, Accounting, Engineering, or relatable field.
+ Some energy, utility or related experience is preferred.
+ Experience with Microsoft tools such Excel, VBA, MS Access, and SQL.
+ SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) would be a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
+ Good PC and Microsoft Office skills, strong Excel and Word skills required; Microsoft Access a plus.
+ Strong analytical/problem solving skills required.
+ Attention to details and ability to review materials for accuracy.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Strong telephone etiquette.
+ Ability/flexibility to learn and apply new skills.
+ Ability to navigate through a variety of computer applications.
+ Ability to prioritize work.
+ High level of professionalism and integrity.
Additional Information
**Pay Range:** $80000 to $90000 per year.
