Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Conway, South Carolina. This role is ideal for a skilled individual adept at managing reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records. The position is expected to last 2-4 weeks and offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in bookkeeping and accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online to review and update financial records from January to the present.

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger to support accurate financial reporting.

• Assist with corporate tax tasks, including sales tax and corporate tax return preparation.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient resolution of discrepancies.

• Verify and organize financial data to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or Bookkeeper, with a strong focus on reconciliations.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software.

• Solid understanding of journal entries and general ledger management.

• Experience with corporate tax, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
