    Job Overview

     

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role offers hands-on exposure to the foundational elements of IT infrastructure, including data center operations, environmental systems (UPS, generators, cooling), and basic networking. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and contribute to maintaining and improving our infrastructure environment. This is a 10-week internship running from June through August 2026, based at our Plymouth, WI facility.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Assist in monitoring and maintaining data center operations.

    + Learn and support the setup and configuration of IT infrastructure components.

    + Gain exposure to environmental systems such as:

    + UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)

    + Backup Generators

    + Cooling Systems

    + Support basic network troubleshooting and documentation.

    + Help with inventory management of infrastructure hardware.

    + Participate in routine checks and reporting on infrastructure health.

    + Shadow senior team members during infrastructure upgrades or maintenance.

    + Document processes and contribute to knowledge base articles.

     

    Required Education and Experience

     

    + Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field.

    + Basic understanding of IT hardware and networking concepts.

    + Strong interest in infrastructure and data center technologies.

    + Good communication and organizational skills.

    + Willingness to learn and take initiative.

    + Year in school: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.

    + Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

    + Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship both now and in the future.

     

    Preferred Education and Experience

     

    + Familiarity with cabling and rack setup.

    + Exposure to network diagrams or infrastructure documentation.

    + Basic knowledge of power systems and cooling mechanisms.

     

    Working Conditions

     

    • Work is performed in an office setting.

    • Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
