Overview
The Enterprise Sr. Director of Finance is a strategic finance leader responsible for overseeing centralized finance, accounting, and shared services across Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America (PECNA). Serving as a key business partner to the C-suite and senior leadership, this role drives financial planning and analysis, global compliance, cost optimization, business transformation, and long-term strategic growth. With oversight of regional and corporate finance operations, the Enterprise Sr. Director of Finance ensures accuracy, transparency, and efficiency while building world-class finance capabilities to support a rapidly evolving, complex, and matrixed organization.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Sr Director of Finance
_Position based in either Sparks, NV or De Soto, KS_
Financial Leadership & Strategy
+ Lead corporate and regional financial operations, aligning finance strategy with organizational goals for sustainable growth and profitability.
+ Act as a key advisor to the CFO, CEO, and executive leadership on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business strategy.
+ Provide analytical frameworks and insights to identify trends, mitigate risks, and capitalize on business opportunities.
Centralized Accounting & Compliance
+ Oversee centralized accounting functions including consolidations, reporting, and audit coordination in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
+ Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
+ Implement and monitor robust internal control frameworks, strengthening SOX compliance, corporate governance, and risk management practices.
Shared Services & Operational Excellence
+ Oversee shared services functions (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Travel & Expense), driving continuous transformation through automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives.
+ Optimize accounting and finance workflows across regional entities to improve service delivery and control.
Cost Management & Financial Performance
+ Drive enterprise-wide cost management initiatives using performance metrics, variance and trend analysis, and benchmarking.
+ Lead cost allocation strategies, ensuring transparency and accountability across business functions.
+ Evaluate new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on strategic financial impact and returns.
Cross-Functional & Business Partnering
+ Collaborate with Operations, HR, IT, Procurement, and other departments to align financial strategies with enterprise needs.
+ Support ERP optimization, financial systems upgrades, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
+ Serve as a trusted partner across the organization, providing financial insight to guide operational and strategic decisions.
Leadership & Talent Development
+ Lead and inspire a team of finance professionals across multiple geographies, cultivating a high-performance, inclusive culture.
+ Champion talent development, succession planning, mentoring, and continuous learning to build a next-generation finance team.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
+ To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PECNA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education:
+ Basic/Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required.
+ Preferred: CPA and/or MBA
Essential Qualifications:
+ Over 10 years of relevant working experience with strong theoretical background in all finance and accounting areas.
+ Over 5 years of experience in a management role, with a track-record of leadership success.
+ Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
+ “Big Four” or national accounting firm experience is preferred but not required.
+ Deep knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, revenue recognition, internal controls, and compliance.
+ Proven experience leading large-scale finance transformations, process improvements, and ERP/financial system implementations.
+ Strong strategic mindset, business acumen, problem-solving ability, and cross-functional collaboration.
+ Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills across diverse, global teams.
+ Bilingual (Spanish or Japanese) highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Must be able to build trust and influence at all levels of an organization, including the PECNA senior leadership team and Panasonic Headquarters
+ Proven leadership skills including team building, collaborating, accountability, strategic and innovative thinking
+ Ability to take innovative approaches to improve processes and solve problems
+ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills
+ Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
+ Self-starter with high-energy and a curious approach
+ Ability to understand different cultures to establish reliable and effective communication within a diverse and complicated environment
+ Demonstrated working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and requirements in the US
+ Skills in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
+ Multi-site and global experience are highly desirable
+ Spanish and/or Japanese desirable, including reading, writing, and speaking
