    JOB SUMMARY

    The Learning Academy Manager (LAM) for Enterprise Assurance serves as a strategic advisor, change enabler, and workforce capability architect for ICW Group’s Finance, Legal, Audit, Compliance, and Actuarial functions. Central to this role is the design, launch, and stewardship of the Enterprise Assurance Academy, which provides structured career pathways, skill development opportunities, and professional growth resources for employees across assurance-related functions.

     

    The LAM partners with business leaders to identify capability gaps, co-create multi-year learning plans, embed adoption strategies, and integrate skills data into workforce planning. By developing and stewarding the Enterprise Assurance Academy, the LAM ensures employees have the technical, regulatory, and professional capabilities needed to safeguard ICW’s financial integrity, governance standards, and compliance readiness while enabling Operation 2027 priorities.

     

    This role is designed for a forward-thinking workforce enablement leader who combines business acumen with deep learning expertise, bringing proactive insight, regulatory fluency, and enterprise-level partnership to ICW Group’s transformation journey.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    _Strategic Business Partnership_

     

    + Collaborate directly with the Human Resources Business Partners assigned to Finance, Legal, Audit, Compliance, and Actuarial to ensure alignment on all strategic initiatives.

    + Partner with Finance, Legal, Audit, Compliance, and Actuarial leaders to co-create multi-year skill roadmaps and align Academy programs with business objectives.

    + Serve as a trusted advisor on workforce readiness in compliance, risk management, financial acumen, actuarial modeling, and governance.

    + Participate in the Learning Advisory Council, representing assurance-related needs in quarterly Portfolio Reviews.

    + Shape demand upstream by advising leaders on capability priorities before requests reach intake.

    + Facilitate skill mapping workshops with stakeholders and HRBPs as new roles are identified.

    + Perform recurring reviews and maintenance of Finance, Legal, Audit, Compliance, and Actuarial skill maps to ensure relevance.

     

    _Enterprise Assurance Academy & Career Pathways_

     

    + Design, launch, and continuously evolve the Enterprise Assurance Academy, with dedicated tracks for Finance, Legal, Audit, Compliance, and Actuarial functions.

    + Build structured career development frameworks that map growth opportunities within each function and support succession planning.

    + Curate and integrate external certifications (e.g., CPA, CPCU, actuarial certifications, legal compliance programs) to enrich Academy offerings.

     

    _Learning Roadmaps, Adoption & Development Models_

     

    + Develop 24–36 month workforce enablement roadmaps aligned to assurance skill taxonomies and strategic business imperatives.

    + Create 70-20-10 development pathways (on-the-job, mentoring, formal learning) that build professional and technical competencies.

    + Ensure adoption and reinforcement strategies are embedded at Gate 2 (Solution Design Proposal), including communication, manager enablement, and reinforcement.

    + Ensure Academy programs prepare employees for future roles and evolving assurance demands.

     

    _Learning Design & Facilitation_

     

    + Develop and deliver content across multiple modalities (eLearning, ILT, VILT, blended) while leveraging our suite of AI enablement tools.

    + Facilitate sessions on compliance, ethics, financial literacy, actuarial concepts, and governance practices.

    + Facilitate communities of practice to strengthen assurance and compliance expertise across the enterprise.

    + Integrate LinkedIn Learning, vendor content, industry certifications, and regulatory training into the Academy experience.

     

    _Enterprise Compliance & Risk Initiatives_

     

    + Lead enterprise-wide compliance learning programs, including ethics, code of conduct, mandatory training, and risk management.

    + Partner with Compliance and Legal leaders to ensure learning solutions meet regulatory requirements and withstand audits.

    + Provide consistent reporting and measurement of Academy and compliance learning effectiveness.

     

    _Project & Portfolio Management_

     

    + Manage Academy initiatives through Cognota using the Stage Gate 1–5 process.

    + Lead cross-functional project teams for Academy initiatives, serving as project manager for internal learning efforts. Coordinate workstreams across instructional designers, facilitators, learning technologists, communications specialists, and HRBPs.

    + Set timelines, clarify deliverables, manage dependencies, and facilitate regular checkpoints to ensure projects stay on scope, on budget, and on schedule.

    + Provide regular updates to stakeholders on Academy progress and outcomes.

    + Contribute to quarterly Portfolio Reviews, ensuring Academy initiatives are prioritized against enterprise demand and resources.

     

    _Professional Development & Team Alignment_

     

    + Commit annually to professional growth through ATD certifications, industry conferences, and assurance/actuarial learning communities.

    + Role-model Workforce Enablement team charter values of partnership, innovation, and accountability.

    + Consistently collaborate with HRBPs and other Academy Managers to share best practices and contribute to cross-functional Academy initiatives.

     

    _AI Fluency & Digital Enablement_

     

    + Support responsible and safe use of AI in Finance, Legal, Audit, Compliance, and Actuarial functions.

    + Contribute to the creation and communication of an AI Safe Use Charter.

    + Champion adoption of AI-powered learning tools to accelerate training design, personalization, and delivery.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Education, Human Resources, Finance, Law, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.

    + 7+ years of experience in learning and development, with exposure to compliance, finance, legal, audit, or actuarial environments.

    + Familiarity with actuarial concepts and practices, with experience supporting actuarial development preferred.

    + Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage functional academies or structured learning programs.

    + Experience in instructional design, facilitation, and content development across multiple modalities.

    + Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.

    + Proficiency in project and portfolio management processes or platforms (e.g., Cognota, LMS).

    + Commitment to continuous professional development through ATD certifications, compliance/finance/legal conferences, or actuarial credentials.

    REQUIRED CORE SKILLS

    + Business Insight – Understanding assurance, finance, legal, audit, compliance, and actuarial practices to align Academy solutions.

    + Future Readiness – Anticipating regulatory and risk trends and embedding them into Academy design.

    + Collaboration & Leadership – Leading cross-functional Academy pods with SMEs and compliance stakeholders.

    + Communication – Translating complex regulatory and actuarial concepts into accessible learning experiences.

    + Analytics Awareness – Connecting Academy outputs to workforce planning and talent reviews.

    + Lifelong Learning – Staying current with industry certifications and assurance best practices.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Office environment – no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands and employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position requires more than 80% computer use.

    The current range for this position is

     

    $90,559.93 - $152,723.07

     

    This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education and the location of the role and considers employees performing substantially similar work.
