Position Summary:
The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for overseeing monthly financial close, cost accounting, fixed asset management, AP, AR and Payroll oversight and account reconciliation. This candidate will bring a deep understanding of manufacturing accounting practices and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Financial Closing & Reporting
+ Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process
+ Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and financial statements
+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Account Reconciliation & Analysis
+ Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations
+ Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
+ Support internal and external audits with documentation and analysis
Cost Accounting
+ Maintain and analyze standard cost systems, including BOMs and routings
+ Monitor and report on manufacturing variances, inventory valuation, and margin analysis
+ Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost allocation
Fixed Asset Accounting & System Maintenance
+ Manage fixed asset ledger, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
+ Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of capital expenditures
+ Maintain fixed asset system integrity and support physical audits
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Education - Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
+ Experience - Minimum 5 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of AR, AP & Payroll
+ Technical Skills - Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Plex or similar), advanced Excel skills
+ Soft Skills - Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, leadership ability, and effective communication

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
