    SUMMARY: The Vice President, Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations for the Rochester Regional Health Foundations. They will provide strategic and tactical direction to the Operations team, create and implement processes that drive efficiency across the organization, work collaboratively to support all aspects of the donor cycle, and provide leadership in data-driven decision making. As part of the leadership team, they ensure success in achieving our fundraising goals while building positive donor relationships and advancing the mission of Rochester Regional Health. The Vice President, Operations reports to the President of the Foundation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Provide strategic direction and oversight for the following functions: Office Management, Board Governance, Prospect Management, Prospect Research, Analytics, Data Management, Gift Processing and Grants.

    • In support of these functional areas, the Vice President, Operations:

    + Establishes operational management systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective operations that make a positive impact on donor relationships. Oversees administrative support and office management functions.

    + Serves as a liaison to the Foundation Boards, ensuring transparency and fostering board engagement. With the Foundation President, develop board calendar, agendas, and meeting content, coordinate onboarding, manage communication with members, track and report on progress to goal and Foundation strategy.

    + Primary contact for RRH Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, and Human Resources teams to ensure appropriate processes are established and implemented related to financial controls, patient/donor data, and other business of the Foundations.

    + Ensures accuracy and integrity in the use of all donor information. Oversees seamless integration of donor data management tools (i.e. Raiser’s Edge, DonorSearch, JustGiving) across the Foundation, in collaboration with the Development and Donor Engagement teams.

    + Accountable for ensuring all aspects of gift processing comply with Foundation policies and IRS regulations, and provide a positive donor experience.

    + Oversees the Grants team, working with the Director to create a pipeline of prospective funders, foster collaboration with executive-level leaders across the system, and partner with Finance to ensure appropriate management and spending of all grants.

    + Works collaboratively with the Development team to maximize outcomes in all aspects of prospect management, from portfolio assignment through the donor cycle. In partnership with Development, establishes metrics of success for gift officers as it relates to portfolio management and reporting requirements.

    + Formulates reporting and data analytics that drive informed decision making across the Foundation. In partnership with the Foundation President, utilizes data to identify potential areas of growth and provides consistency in measuring productivity across the organization.

    + Responsible for the creation and implementation of the annual budget for the Foundation and ongoing expense monitoring. Partners with the Finance team to ensure the Foundation meets all fiduciary responsibilities.

    + Creates a collaborative and positive team environment, provides coaching and feedback to support career development.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s degree required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Master’s degree strongly desired.

    + Ten or more years of experience in philanthropy or non-profit management.

    + Experience with capital campaigns strongly preferred.

    + Outstanding interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work in a fast paced, complex environment.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

    PAY RANGE:

    $150,000.00 - $170,000.00

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
