    Job Title: Desktop Technician

     

    Job Category: Help Desk Technician / Analyst

     

    Duration: 3-month contract | Immediate start | Project-based (potential for extension)

    Overview:

    We’re hiring a Desktop Technician to support a high-priority Windows 11 migration for a technology-focused organization undergoing a major systems upgrade to enhance cybersecurity and modernize operations.

     

    This is a hands-on role in a secure, fast-paced environment where precision, responsiveness, and professionalism are essential. You’ll work closely with IT leadership to ensure systems are upgraded, stable, and compliant with updated protocols.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Windows 11 Migration Support

     

    + Upgrade user endpoints from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

    + Image, install, and validate systems post-migration.

    + Ensure compatibility with specialized applications.

     

    Technical Troubleshooting

     

    + Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and network issues.

    + Resolve user-reported problems and escalate complex issues as needed.

    + Document fixes and procedures for future reference.

     

    Ticketing System Management

     

    + Monitor and respond to tickets using Zendesk.

    + Track progress, update statuses, and close tickets in line with SLAs.

    Must-Have Skills:

    + Experience supporting Windows environments, especially Windows 11 migrations (50+ users).

    + Hands-on experience with imaging, installation, and endpoint deployment.

    + Ability to work independently, follow strict instructions, and proactively check in when unsure.

    Nice-to-Have Skills:

    + Help desk experience.

    + Familiarity with Zendesk or similar ticketing platforms.

    Work Environment:

    + 5 days on-site.

    + Collaborate with network and systems teams.

    + Support a site of ~170 employees.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
