Job Title: Security Systems Technician

Experience Level: Intermediate

Employment Type: (Full-Time / Contract to hire)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-level security systems with minimal supervision. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

+ Install, terminate, test, and maintain hardware from top manufacturers including Von Duprin, Assa Abloy, HID, Honeywell, etc.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.

+ Lead project installations and manage small teams.

+ Ensure quality control and provide outstanding customer support.

+ Track and report project progress.

Systems & Hardware Experience:

+ Mag Locks

+ Electronic Door Strikes

+ Card Readers & Keypads

+ Electric Crash Bars

+ EREX (Emergency Request to Exit Buttons)

+ REX (Request to Exit) PIR

+ Motion Sensors

+ IP Cameras

+ NVRs & DVRs

Preferred System Knowledge:

+ CCTV

+ Access Control

+ Intrusion Detection

+ IP Cameras & Network Systems

+ Video Analytics

+ Visitor Management Systems

Required Skills:

+ Access Control

+ Security Systems

+ CCTV Installation

+ Alarm System Installation

Additional Qualifications

+ Strong communication and organizational skills.

+ Process-oriented with attention to detail.

+ Ability to support systems remotely with professionalism.

+ Solid understanding of internet and networking fundamentals.

+ Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.

+ Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required.

+ Certifications in Honeywell Pro-Watch, Genetec, Openpath, Exacq, 3xLogic, or Brivo are a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
