Job Summary:
The Instructional Coordinator is supervised by the divisional Academic Dean located on the same respective campus. The responsibilities of this position relate to day and evening programs, with primary support for adjunct faculty.
Essential Functions:

General Support of Campus
• Serves as the administrator on duty for the campus during evening hours of operation
• Demonstrates a willingness to be of service and assists students, coworkers and the general public with questions, concerns, processes in a pleasant and professional manner;
• Assists students as needed in support of the advisement/registration process;
• Assists campus administration in student retention and recruitment processes;
• Works closely with security to maintain a safe and secure environment that is conducive to learning;

Supports Division Deans/Associate Deans
• Assists with the recruitment, recommendations, interviewing and hiring (in coordination with HR) of campus adjunct faculty each semester and communicates with the appropriate Dean/Associate Dean;
• Works with Human Resources in regards to collection of new hire paperwork from adjunct faculty.
• Coordinates and completes the Faculty Qualification Review documentation process.
• Assists with the development of the course schedule and enters the schedule each term for the ‘School’ and CEC;
• Post classroom schedules at each classroom prior to the start of the term;
• Check for entry of no-shows, grades, etc. for each semester.

Faculty Responsibilities - Adjunct
• Prepares teaching materials (i.e. sample syllabi, course state standard, textbook, etc.…) each semester for new adjunct faculty;
• Provides general orientation for new adjunct faculty
• Provides training for Blackboard Ultra, Banner Web, etc.… when requested.
• Completes adjunct appointments and selects appropriate Dean for approval/signature. Modifies adjunct agreements throughout the semester as necessary. Ensures adjunct appointments are signed by each faculty member and returned.
• Conducts formal classroom observations and evaluations for adjunct faculty when requested by the appropriate Dean/Associate Dean;

Documentation/Reporting
• Enters new adjunct faculty into the Banner system;
• Completes Personal Action Requests (PARs) and Secure Resources forms for adjunct faculty.
• Monitors Affordable Care Act (ACA) load of adjunct faculty when assigning an instructional course load.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time administrative position. Work load is Monday-Friday day/evening hours. Weekends based on need.
Travel:
Travel to other campuses is a possibility for meetings, trainings, professional development, etc.…
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree

• Two (2) years related work experience
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree;
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in post‐secondary education, faculty recruiting, or
related field;
• Teaching Experience on the post‐Secondary Level;
• Experience with Banner Software;
• Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills;
• Five years of recent supervisory experience.
