Job Summary:
Under broad supervision, performs duties for a variety of Human Resource Management programs and aids program activities. Performs data collection and analysis for salary and benefit Administration, salary, benefit and classification programs, compensation and benefit program design, assists in the development of policies and programs, and supports special projects. Owns assigned tasks. May serve as a lead or train staff.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
+ · Administer oversight and successful operations of Human Resources for Secure Facilities.
+
+ · Maintain and keep track of Criteria Based Incentives and Promotions.
+
+ · Ensure Secure Facilities staff issues are addressed properly, efficiently, and judiciously, and monitor the process until resolved.
+
+ · Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Secure Facilities Human Resources, internal and external stakeholders.
+
+ · Ensure the applicant's POST has been entered within 5 business days.
+
+ · Identify and implement the best practices in the field of Human Resources.
+
+ · Plan and assist with operational and programmatic activities for the DJJ’s Secure Facilities.
+
+ · Ensure criminal backgrounds are completed in a timely manner.
+
+ · Serve interview panels for Human Resources vacancies as needed.
+
+ · Provide technical support to end users; respond to an end-user request for information; investigate, troubleshoot and resolve end user’s problems.

+ · Conduct training sessions as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience performing human resources job- related functions; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level HR Analyst 2 (HRP051)
Or position equivalent.
Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training,
Or certifications that provide the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
Preferred Qualifications:
Human Resources Manager under limited direction, responsible for assisting and training the facility Personnel Techs and Administrative Support/File Clerk to include the duties of Recruitment of Candidates, Criminal Background, Kronos, New Hires Orientation, POST, Request to Advertise, Fingerprints, Setting Up Personnel File, Workers Comp, FMLA, Scheduling Interviews, CBI’s, Testing, and Promotions. Other duties include but are not limited to. Identifies training needs and provides guidance and training to Human Resources Staff.
