    We have an outstanding career opportunity for aSenior MEP Project Manager to join a leading Company located in theO'ahu, HI surrounding area.

     

    Salary: $120 – 140 k/yr

     

    US Citizenship is required.

     

    We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer (MEP) to lead the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection scopes on this landmark program. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, proven coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple trades under NAVFAC and DoD standards.

     

    You will serve as the primary technical lead for all MEP scopes, ensuring design compliance, coordinating field execution, and mentoring junior engineers while driving successful delivery of mission-critical systems.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Engineering & Documentation

     

    + Lead MEP submittals, RFIs, and shop drawing reviews to ensure NAVFAC compliance.

    + Maintain as-built drawings, testing logs, and commissioning documentation.

    + Anticipate and resolve constructability issues before they impact the field.

     

    Field Oversight

     

    + Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty systems.

    + Coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors to align MEP sequencing with civil, structural, and marine scopes.

    + Ensure EM 385-1-1 safety compliance during all MEP operations.

     

    Project Controls

     

    + Manage procurement of major MEP equipment and long-lead items.

    + Track budgets, forecasts, and cost reports for assigned scopes.

    + Monitor progress with Primavera P6 or MS Project, identifying risks early.

    + Stakeholder Coordination

    + Interface with Navy inspectors, commissioning agents, consultants, and designers.

    + Represent MEP scopes in coordination meetings to ensure timely resolution of issues.

     

    Leadership & Mentorship

     

    + Mentor and supervise junior engineers supporting MEP scopes.

    + Provide training and technical guidance to strengthen team capabilities.

     

    Expectations

     

    + Act as the technical lead for all MEP systems on the dry dock program.

    + Deliver precise compliance documentation that meets NAVFAC and DoD requirements.

    + Maintain strong field presence while managing office documentation.

    + Proactively identify clashes between MEP, civil, and marine works.

    + Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Construction Engineering.

    + 7+ years of MEP construction experience, preferably on large-scale federal, industrial, or marine projects.

    + Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems from design through commissioning.

    + Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and NAVFAC/DoD standards.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project).

    + Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
