This position is responsible for recruiting high quality Mechanical Technicians, consisting of Diesel Technicians, Trailer Technicians, Forklift Technicians, along with a variety of mechanically inclined roles within the Maintenance Department. The Fleet Maintenance Recruiter will use traditional and creative recruiting strategies and maintain a surplus of quality mechanical technician candidates for future needs.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Recruit and pipeline quality Technicians via recruiting websites, employee referrals, on-site recruiting events and other sources
+ Sell OD, its family culture, and benefits to earn a commitment from quality Technicians
+ Follow up on leads to recruit Technicians and communicate with candidates on current employment opportunities
+ Maintain contact with applicants regarding their application and employment statuses
+ Travel to recruiting events including trade shows, career fairs, Tech Schools, etc. to recruit Technicians. 15 - 20% travel required.
+ Establish immediate rapport with potential Technicians by seeking to understand their career goals and interests and build that relationship to ensure achievement of staffing goals
+ Communicate important employment information to applicants including benefits, compensation, etc.
+ Review Technician applications for basic qualifications, screen candidates, and conduct interviews
+ Work with hiring managers to understand their technician staffing needs and keep them up to date on recruiting progress
+ Be an efficient and independent user of the ATS to manage candidate information, create reports, and track data.
+ Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
+ Recommend improvements to current employment packages and hiring processes
+ Participate in the screening/qualifying process of Tech Schools to determine if they can provide quality candidates
Job Qualifications
Education:
+ High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
+ 2+ years of recruiting experience preferably Technician recruiting
+ Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferably Workday Recruiting
+ Knowledge of interviewing techniques and guidelines
+ Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
+ Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
+ Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to provide valuable and timely customer service to candidates, hiring managers and senior level managements
