Position Title Adjunct/Per Course Faculty, Vocal Music (Spring 2026)

Maximum credit hours Per Course faculty can teach 15 Credit Hours per 12 Month Period - West Plains Campus

Description of Primary Duties

+ Plan and conduct weekly choir rehearsals for enrolled students and community participants.

+ Develop appropriate recruitment opportunities for prospective students including outreach through campus, local schools, and community events.

+ Select appropriate choral repertoire that reflects a variety of musical styles and skill levels.

+ Assess student participation and provide feedback in accordance with university guidelines.

+ Maintain accurate attendance and grading records.

+ Collaborate with the Director of Music for scheduling, equipment setup, and promotion of performances.

+ Collaborate with the Director of Music to create Student Learning Outcomes, assess student learning, and submit course assessment at the close of the semester.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Adjunct Faculty should possess a master’s degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean. Bachelor’s degree may be acceptable in certain subject areas as determined by the Dean.

Additional Qualifications

+ Demonstrated experience directing adult choirs or vocal ensembles.

+ Strong communication and organizational skills.

+ Ability to work effectively with students and community members of varying musical backgrounds.

+ Familiarity with community engagement and outreach through the arts.
