    About the Role:

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Security Officer to join our team at a premier high-rise building in Houston. The Security Officer will be responsible for protecting tenants, visitors, and property by maintaining a constant and visible presence throughout the site. This position requires remaining on foot for the entire shift with no sitting permitted , making attentiveness, endurance, and professionalism essential.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Maintain security and order within the building by monitoring entrances, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, and other assigned areas.

    + Conduct frequent foot patrols of both interior and exterior areas to detect unauthorized activity, hazards, or safety concerns.

    + Remain on post in a standing position for the full 8-hour shift with no sitting.

    + Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, alarms, or emergency situations following established procedures.

    + Provide courteous assistance to tenants, guests, and contractors while upholding professional standards of customer service.

    + Enforce building policies, access requirements, and safety regulations consistently and fairly.

    + Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.

    + Communicate regularly with supervisors, building management, and law enforcement when necessary.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    + High school diploma or equivalent (required).

    + Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred, but not required.

    + Must be able to stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift with no sitting or rest periods outside of scheduled breaks .

    + Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

    + Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

    + Must be at least 18 years of age with valid identification.

    + Ability to pass a background check and meet all state licensing or certification requirements.

    + Reliable transportation to and from the site.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Ability to remain standing for 8 continuous hours without sitting.

    + Ability to walk patrol routes, climb stairs, and respond quickly to emergencies.

    + Must maintain alertness and focus throughout the shift.
