    Description

    The purpose of this position is preparation, wrapping, sterilization, storage and delivery of supplies for patient use, cleaning and distribution of patient equipment, instruments, and supplies, and ensuring JCAHO and other relevant standards are met. The Sterile Processing Department Assistant reports to the Surgical Services Director and SPD Coordinator. The Sterile Processing Department Assistant has contact with other LRH employees and Department Directors. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position.

    Shifts: Day/pm shifts plus call, 64 hours biweekly.

    Compensation:

    Hourly Wage Range: $19.38 - $25.43 Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

    Qualifications

    Previous SPD experience preferred. Up to three months on-the-job training to become familiar with items handled in the department.
