Are you a detail-oriented, creative problem solver with a passion for planning memorable events? We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Events Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you’ll support the planning and execution of customer symposia, conferences, and other high-impact events that elevate our brand and deliver exceptional experiences for our attendees. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic professional eager to grow into a hands-on, onsite event management role.
How will you make an impact?
In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind the seamless execution of McGraw Hill symposia—our signature customer events—while also providing support for industry conferences. From managing logistics to ensuring every attendee has an exceptional experience, you’ll play a key role in showcasing the McGraw Hill brand.
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. Candidates who work in a Eastern Standard or Central time zones are highly preferred.
What you'll be doing:
+ Assist Event Managers with the planning and execution of McGraw Hill customer events while gaining exposure to live event management tasks.
+ Support conference planning efforts, assisting with booth logistics, promotional materials, and sponsorship deliverables.
+ Coordinate logistics such as venue research, registration tracking, attendee communications, and vendor management.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure events align with business goals and brand standards.
+ Partner closely with Event Specialist to prepare event materials including signage, name badges, shipping inventories, and packing lists.
+ Manage event timelines, budgets, and deliverables using tools like Salesforce.com, Cvent, Smartsheet, and Asana.
+ Track and report on event performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
+ Contribute to team brainstorming sessions and post-event evaluation feedback roll-up.
+ A proactive team player with a passion for events and a desire to learn.
A successful candidate will have:
+ Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills and sharp attention to detail.
+ Familiarity with event tools and platforms such as Salesforce.com, Cvent, Smartsheet, and Asana.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you’ll be working with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
+ Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines while staying cool under pressure.
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in events, marketing, hospitality, or a related field.
