Chemours is seeking an **Export Coordinator** to join our growing team! This position will be part of the supply chain function and report directly to the Americas Delivery Team Leader in our **Wilmington, DE** location. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Advanced Performance Materials business.
The Export Coordinator is responsible for managing US-sourced export orders, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating logistics, handling returns, addressing complaints. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal teams and external warehousing and logistics partners to ensure smooth export operations, customer satisfaction, and drive process improvements.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Prioritize all ocean and air shipments from US sites; first line of decision making
+ Prepare documentation and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders
+ Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and freight forwarder partners to monitor outbound shipments and troubleshoot issues
+ Ensure compliance with US export laws and regulations
+ Negotiate spot rates
+ Liaise with colleagues in the importing region
+ Initiate complaints and ensure resolution
+ Investigate Delivery to Promise metric to identify root causes and correctives actions for misses
+ Drive simplification initiatives that streamline work processes, improve customer experience, and lower cost for ocean, air, and road modes
In order to be qualified for this role, you** **_must possess_** **the following:
+ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, international business, or related field
+ 2-3 years of experience in export coordinator role, supply chain, freight-forwarding, logistics, or customer service-related field
+ Demonstrated ability to
+ drive the resolution of issues
+ deal with and effectively manage through changes
+ communicate effectively across different levels both internally and externally
+ effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment
+ Ability to work well in teams and interact at all levels of the organization
+ Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills both through telecommunications and in person
**The following skill sets are** **_preferred_** **by the business unit** :
+ Experience with freight forwarders and logistics
+ Customs broker license, IATA certification
+ Demonstrated ability to work with variety of IT tools, including SAP
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite
