Retail Electric Power Division (REPS) provides exciting opportunities for those who want to be challenged and are interested in being directly involved with the business. This role will encourage one to demonstrate and develop attention to detail, communication, and financial analysis skills.

This role will specifically work with the REPS commercial and business resource teams supporting their monthly financial results by closing the books and completing monthly tasks. Analysis will need to be performed for the REPS team and present findings to management. Quarterly forecasts and other annual tasks will be required of the role. This role will independently perform accounting functions which require preparation, analysis, and communication.

What You Will Do:

+ Prepare, analyze, and communicate monthly financial reporting, annual business plan and quarterly forecasts.

+ Present and explain results to management.

+ Balance Sheet reporting, reconciliation, and analysis

+ Sales/Cost of Sales Accounting

+ Work across multiple disciplines outside of Business Resources.

+ Resolve issues independently.

+ Development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures

+ Assistance with preparation of ad hoc project financials

+ Complete annual business reporting and other tax requests

What You Have:

+ **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business related degree.

+ **Accuracy and Attention to Detail:** Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

+ **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

+ **Effective Communications** : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

+ **Managing Multiple Priorities** : Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

+ **Problem Solving** : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

+ **Accounting** : Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

+ **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

+ **Financial Reporting:** Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

+ The primary location for this position is Irving, TX

+ This role requires 5 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
