Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Production Generalists, including tasks such as ground beef, pork, and chicken production, splits, transfers, stock replenishment, and box making.
+ Oversee the operation and maintenance of all production equipment, including patty formers, grinders, and packaging machines, ensuring that all machinery is properly sanitized before start-up and cleaned after shutdown.
+ Ensure proper product flow, rotation, packaging, labeling, and boxing, keeping FIFO practices in place, and ensuring the workspace is neat and organized.
+ Ensure all team members follow Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) and safety regulations at all times, maintaining compliance with federal processing guidelines.
+ Assist with managing inventory by coordinating Put-Aways, Picks, & Pulls, including retrieving products from the cooler, freezer, and holding areas.
+ Manage product transfers and retrievals to and from different storage areas.
+ Monitor production quality to prevent out-of-specification products and take corrective action when necessary.
+ Track production metrics and ensure accurate record-keeping, including WIP sheets for all products used during production.
+ Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to Production Generalists, ensuring high performance and addressing any challenges that arise.
+ Troubleshoot any production line issues or equipment malfunctions and work with maintenance and management to resolve.
+ Coordinate with the Production Manager to adjust schedules or priorities as needed based on the production demand and any operational changes.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process optimizations to enhance efficiency and quality.
+ Assist with other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
+ Must be able to read and write in English and perform basic mathematics
+ 3+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, or a similar environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
+ Familiarity with operating production equipment such as patty formers, grinders, packaging machines, etc.
+ Experience working with HACCP protocols and a solid understanding of food safety regulations.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to lift up to 70 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
+ Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment (42°F).
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to prevent production line issues.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Previous experience with packaging machines like Dixie Skin Pack, Multipack/pouch forming, and vacuum sealing machines.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and train teams effectively.
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Salary:
+ $22.00- $27.00/ a hour

+ Must be able to stand, walk, twist, stoop, bend, kneel, sit and squat.
+ Must be able to use hands to pick, handle, feel, finger; reach with hands and arms, pull and push trays with product, levers and boxes.
+ Must be able to talk and hear.
+ Possess normal vision with or without correction and able to distinguish colors
+ Possess fluent speech in English, writing and communication skills necessary to effectively carry out job functions
+ Must be able to read and comprehend work related materials, numerical data and diagrams.
+ Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 70 pounds using correct lifting techniques.
+ Must be able to stand and walk on feet all day, except for scheduled breaks.
+ Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment at 38-42F.
