Position Summary...
Walmart is seeking a Director, Communications Enablement to elevate how we plan, deliver, measure, and evolve communications at scale. In this role, you’ll act as a critical link between strategy and execution, ensuring all communications initiatives are cohesive, aligned to enterprise priorities, and continuously optimized through insights and innovation. Ultimately, you’ll bring structure, add clarity and infuse innovation to help ensure that Walmart’s earned and owned communication strategies are integrated, holistic and effective, resonating with key audiences and generating proven impact.
About Communications Enablement:
The Communications Enablement team ensures Walmart’s Global Communications function operates with discipline, agility, and consistency. We design and manage the systems, processes, and tools that align priorities, integrate measurement, and drive effectiveness across teams and partners. By blending strategic planning with data, insights, and emerging technologies, the team helps Walmart deliver communications that are globally aligned, audience-first, and continuously improving. We convene stakeholders to set and align priorities, enabling Global Communications to strengthen Walmart’s reputation and amplify its voice with precision.
What you'll do...
+ Define communications priorities, OKRs and frameworks to align storytelling with enterprise goals.
+ Establish scalable processes, operating models and tools that improve collaboration across internal functions and agency partners.
+ Build and continually manage an enterprise editorial calendar that proactively aligns messages to strategy, ensuring communications are strategically sequenced and impactful.
+ Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure communications are consistent and reputationally sound.
+ Use measurement, research and analytics to evaluate performance, uncover insights and drive continuous improvement.
+ Convene stakeholders to create alignment and amplify Walmart’s key messages across earned and owned channels as well as ancillary platforms such as paid advertising.
+ Harness emerging technologies, specifically AI, to modernize communications delivery and effectiveness.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner, inspiring teams to experiment and innovate while maintaining operational discipline.
What you’ll bring:
+ 10+ years’ experience in communications, strategy, program management or related fields.
+ Proven expertise in building and leading multi-channel communications for a large public entity.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to integrate data and insights into decision-making.
+ Experience designing scalable governance models, processes and best practices within large, matrixed organizations.
+ Excellent judgment, executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
+ A balance of creativity and operational discipline, with curiosity for emerging technologies and the evolving communications landscape.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field and 5 years’ experience in public relations, communications, or relevant area OR 7 years’ experience in public relations, communications, or relevant area.
2 years’ supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
