Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior MDI System Administrator to lead the operational management of our Medical Device Integration (MDI) systems. This role is critical to ensuring seamless data flow from biomedical devices and lab instruments into our electronic medical record (EMR) systems. You’ll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, system configuration, and onboarding new devices into production environments.
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday - Friday (On call support required, as needed).

Key Responsibilities
+ Administer and maintain MDI applications, hardware, and system configurations.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot data flow issues between biomedical devices and EMRs.
+ Coordinate with technical teams to resolve integration and connectivity problems.
+ Ensure proper testing and validation of new device integrations.
+ Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for MDI systems.
+ Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to support device onboarding and lifecycle management.
+ Uphold cybersecurity best practices, including least privilege and least functionality principles.
+ Participate in security incident response activities and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
Preferred Skills
+ Experience with Epic, Cerner, or other EMR platforms.
+ Knowledge of medical device standards and regulatory compliance.
+ Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar are a plus.
Qualifications
+ Education:
+ 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Business or other related field required. Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred.
+ 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Business or another related field required. Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred.
+ Experience: Minimum 5 years in IT or related business, preferable healthcare environment in a management, analytical or technical role with responsibilities including implementation, technical troubleshooting, customer support, and problem solving, required.
+ Licensure/Certification: EPIC Bridges Certification, required.
+ Additional Skills (required):
+ Proficient knowledge of the Capsule Bio-Medical Device Integration Engine
+ Proficient understanding of bio-medical device integration methodology and architecture.
+ Proficient understanding of lab instrument integration methodology and architecture.
+ HL7 Standards and proficient understanding of integration methodology and architecture.
+ Proficient understanding of infrastructure (networking, server architecture)
+ Additional Skills (preferred):
+ File transfer standards (FTP, SFTP)
+ Product Application support
