    Overview

     

    This position contributes to REI’s success by analyzing data & insights for the Human Resources division. The HR Data Analyst will help establish HR data governance processes that can be used to build accurate and relevant HR data. Additionally, this position will analyze HR data to drive the creation of insights that can be used to help leaders make data-informed decisions about our workforce and to enable our organizational goals. Reviewing datasets from the HRIS and other HR and business data sources, the HR Data Analyst will help with creation and maintenance of recurring HR metrics that matter as well as ad-hoc data projects/presentations and other resources to assist in helping consumers understand how to interpret and use data and analytics. Ultimately, the HR Data Analyst will help evolve HR data from manual reporting to automated dashboards. The HR Data Analyst will collaborate with other data owners in HR to help drive coordination and alignment of data, in accordance with Co-op standards, mission, and values.

    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    + Compiles and interprets data, develops products, creates executive summaries that can be used to drive insights.

    + Partners closely with HRIS team to ensure data process and analysis is integrated with Co-op enterprise solutions.

    + Generates monthly reports to support updates on our HR data to aid in leader analysis and decision-making.

    + Delivers oral and written reports using MS PowerPoint and Sigma to document and present project work content.

    + Develops and maintains advanced, interactive dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other coding languages to visualize complex datasets and provide actionable insights for stakeholders.

    + Works with divisional stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver data-based analyses for HR and business leaders.

    + Develops materials to support stakeholders’ HR data acumen.

    + Uses continuous improvement to refine data analysis tools and processes to better manage metrics.

    + Stays up to date on developments and external benchmarks in HR analytics to evolve our capabilities.

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, data-science or business administration, or equivalent training and experience

    + 3+ years’ experience in data or analytics roles including a solid understanding of both data analysis and data visualization

    + 3+ years’ experience working collaboratively with HR data consumers, building reports and analyzing data aligned to business needs

    + Experience with data tools such as: UKG, Snowflake, SQL, Alteryx, Python, R, Tableau, Sigma, MS Excel, etc.

    + Proficient with communications/presentation tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Word) to share results and recommendations for varied audiences

    + Highly motivated, organized, able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines

    + Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across HR for the achievement of business goals

    + Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI

    + Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities

    + Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound recommendations

    + Considers the ultimate impact of decisions and actions on internal customers

    + Works smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities, and planning well in order to produce quality work

    + Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals

    + Skilled at taking in complex information and data, making sense of it, and clearly sharing it with others in a variety of formats and situations

    + Acts upon opportunities and involves and influences others in the accomplishment of organizational goals

    + Trail blazes new paths by challenging the status quo, championing change, and influencing others through data

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Proficiency with data warehouses querying large data sets

    + Experience with extraction and manipulation (e.g. SQL) of relational data

    + Expertise in dbt; fluency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, Scala)

     

    Pay Range

     

    $85,400.00 - $136,700.00 per year
