    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Oversee the site, projects, and performance of Technicians.

    + Monitoring and performing on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment.

    + Running hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner. This would include but not limited to; CPU’s, HDD’s, DIMM’s, SSD’s, Fan’s, Power Supply’s, Fiber Optics, and Chassis’.

    • Monitoring all network processes to ensure the smooth flow of data across the network.

    • Upgrading internal system components, including CPU’s, memory, hard drives, and network cables.

    • Supporting both new deployment or new builds, and live site/production requests.

    • Supporting cabinet installation and decommission as needed.

    • Documenting processes and logging status updates within ticketing systems.

    • Managing the return merchandize authorization process on failed equipment with the OEM.

    + Maintaining inventory systems, providing timely updates on inventory levels, and performing quarterly cycle counts.

    + Performing quality assurance audits to ensure cabling work meets standards.

    • Respond to operational escalations and emergencies.

    • Attend design and build review meetings.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    + 5+ years of data center operations experience.

    + Industry certification such as CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA is preferred.

    + Experience with Unix/Linux command line is preferred

    + In depth knowledge of data center environments and technologies.

    + Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.

    + Experience working within various ticketing systems.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Capable of working with minimal supervision.

    + Prior experience in the installation of standard cabling technologies and rack infrastructure including but not limited to seismic bracing, infrastructure aesthetics, and effective trouble shooting.

    + Understanding of cabling and telecommunications standards including IEEE/ANSI/TIA/EIA (strongly preferred).
