Job Summary and Qualifications
The Regulatory Coordinator works with professional and non-professional employees of the hospital and with physicians. Develops and maintains a good working rapport with all hospital departments and the Medical Staff.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Under the supervision of the Director of Quality Management (QM), the Regulatory Coordinator is responsible for evaluating and reporting compliance with regulatory guidelines.
+ In collaboration with the Director of Quality Management, we formulate a comprehensive program for continuous monitoring and assessment of patient care services to support the organization’s performance improvement program.
+ Maintains centralized records of compliance review activities to ensure ready access for review and follow-up
+ Assists with the coordination of regulatory surveys, in particular, The Joint Commission and QRS.
+ Assists with the preparation of summarized reports of compliance review activities to the Board of Trustees, Hospital Administration, the Medical Staff, and appropriate committees on a regular basis.
+ Recognizing the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one.
+ Identifies and assists with opportunities for performance improvement activities on the unit and with other service areas.
+ Other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
+ 3 years in healthcare related field; RN/LVN Nursing preferred
+ Associate Degree
+ No Travel Required
