The Program for Language Equity (PLE) aims to advance language equity in research, clinical care, and medical education by transforming research and health care delivery to include and prioritize individuals who use languages other than English (LOE).
As the Program for Language Equity Manager, you will develop and implement program plans, scheduling and budgets, identify and manage the development of new programs and projects, and monitor the performance of programs and recommend changes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare budget proposals and recommendations and establish a budget control system for controlling expenditures. Control expenditures in accordance with budget allocations and recommend equipment and resources for the program.
+ May manage project scope and timeline through formal change management processes. May manage project issues and risks through standard issue/risk process. May manage, select, train, evaluate, and manage unit or department staff for effectiveness and efficiency.
+ Implement appropriate procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy to fulfill the unit or department and campus mission.
+ Manage the development of internal systems and materials for delivery of programs and services.
+ Provide technical advice, policy interpretation, and guidance for the application of appropriate procedures to staff, students, and administrators.
+ Develop and facilitate or oversee the development and facilitation of workshops, seminars, and orientations.
+ Develop information flyers, internal forms, and various materials to facilitate unit or department programs and services.
+ Interact and maintain liaison with staff, faculty, and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
+ Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
+ 4 years of relevant experience
+ Quality Improvement experience preferred
+ Proficiency in a language other than English preferred
+ Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
+ Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
