Manufacturing Engineer
About the Company:
Join a global leader in compact construction and industrial equipment—recognized for engineering innovation, product reliability, and hands-on craftsmanship. This U.S.-based manufacturing site plays a critical role in the company’s North American operations, producing equipment that keeps job sites, infrastructure projects, and communities running around the world.
With a modern, collaborative engineering culture and a track record of long-term employee growth, this organization combines the resources of a global brand with the accessibility and autonomy of a mid-sized local plant.
About the Role:
The Manufacturing Engineer will take ownership of production process optimization, new product introduction (NPI), and continuous improvement initiatives for a key product line currently in the pre-production phase. You’ll serve as the bridge between Design Engineering and Manufacturing—driving efficient, high-quality, and safe operations across assembly and fabrication.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is ready to lead technical initiatives that make a measurable impact on product quality, cost, and throughput.
Why You’ll Love It Here:
+ Be part of an energetic, tight-knit engineering team with a collaborative, idea-sharing culture.
+ Gain exposure to high-visibility new product launches and leadership opportunities.
+ Competitive pay structure (typical range: $80,000–$115,000, based on experience)
+ Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and wellness incentives.
+ On-site fitness center, casual dress every day, and a culture that values work-life balance.
+ Standard schedule: Monday–Thursday (7:00am–4:30pm) and Friday half-days (7:00am–noon).
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Process Planning & Integration:** Lead the introduction of new products into production, ensuring seamless integration into existing lines and balancing efficiency, quality, and safety.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Apply Lean and Kaizen methodologies to eliminate waste, streamline production flow, and enhance ergonomics and safety.
+ **Production Floor Support:** Provide day-to-day engineering support to solve issues impacting throughput, quality, or safety. Leverage A3 and 5-Why problem-solving techniques to drive sustainable fixes.
+ **Concurrent Development:** Act as the manufacturing lead for new launches—defining line layouts, tooling, workflows, and PFMEA documentation for product and process readiness.
+ **Cost, Quality & Safety Optimization:** Identify cost-reduction and risk-mitigation opportunities, ensuring ISO compliance and robust quality systems.
+ **Cross-Functional Leadership:** Collaborate with Production, Quality, Design, and Supply Chain teams to drive improvement and implement best practices across the factory.
+ **Capital & Systems Development:** Identify capital needs, develop business cases, and support the implementation of new equipment or technology.
Who we are looking for?
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering required (Master’s a plus).
+ **Experience:** Minimum 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in complex assembly, fabrication, or heavy equipment production.
+ **Systems:** Experience with NX, DraftSight/AutoCAD, and SAP preferred (training available).
+ **Skills & Traits:**
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on approach
+ Problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills
+ Detail-oriented and proactive
+ Curious, resourceful, and open to new ideas
Next Steps:
If you’re an engineer who takes pride in making things better—processes, products, and teams—you’ll find this opportunity both rewarding and growth-oriented.
