• Stationary Engineer

    Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and industrial services, is seeking a dedicated Stationary Engineer to join their team. As a Stationary Engineer, you will be an essential part of the Operations Department supporting the maintenance and operational excellence of critical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Stationary Engineer

    **Location:** Romulus, MI

    **Union Role:** Yes

    **Pay Rate:** $36–$38 per hour (Depend on experience)

    Training Schedule:

    + Initial training will take place on **1st shift**

    + May transition to **2nd shift** depending on operational needs.

    Shift Details:

    + **Schedule:** 4 days, 10 hours per day

    + **Shift Options:**

    + Wednesday to Saturday

    + Saturday to Wednesday _(Final schedule will be discussed during the interview)_

    Shift Times:

    + **1st Shift:** 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

    + **2nd Shift:** 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Oversee and maintain manufacturing process equipment including chilled water systems, boilers, cooling towers, and air compressors

    + Monitor system operations, perform equipment repairs, and conduct predictive maintenance tasks

    + Respond promptly to equipment needs and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues

    + Log data entries, plant meter readings, and trending equipment performance for optimal operation

    + Participate in safety training, safety inspections, and ensure compliance with safety standards

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Refrigeration and storm water cards are preferred

    + Experience with water tube and fire tube boilers, chillers, and cooling towers

    + Knowledge of building automation and utility systems

    + Strong mechanical diagnosis and repair skills

    + Ability to work on first and possibly second shift, with flexibility during training
