Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a vital part in managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring smooth accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone skilled in QuickBooks, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial records and ensure proper documentation.

• Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date and organized accounting information.

• Review and process invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Reconcile financial discrepancies and resolve any issues related to transactions.

• Assist in generating financial reports and summaries for management review.

• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment and billing inquiries.

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• Support general accounting operations and administrative tasks as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

• Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.

• Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting is a plus.
