    MIG Welder Paying $23/hr

    Job Description

    Responsible for laying out and welding structural steel to build metal structures.

    Responsibilities

    + Weld and cut black carbon and galvanized steel, and interpret blueprints.

    + Operate hand tools, grinders, and other shop machinery, or be willing to learn.

    + Ensure products are manufactured according to prints.

    + Maintain a neat and clean work area in accordance with 6S leadership and standards.

    + Adhere to and comply with all company safety requirements.

    + Read and understand schematics and blueprints, including weld symbols.

    + Read a tape measure accurately and perform basic arithmetic operations.

    + Operate vehicles, mechanical devices, or equipment as needed.

    + Pass 3G/4G tests in MIG welding with a focus on vertical/uphill and column welds.

    + Train new welders as part of job duties.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in MIG and Flux-core welding.

    + Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.

    + Experience in TIG welding is a plus.

    + Strong experience in welding techniques.

    + Minimum of 4 years of recent welding experience.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs without restrictions.

    + Proficiency in computer use within a Windows environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + A two-year welding certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

    + Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a non-climate controlled atmosphere with approximately 80 other employees. The position is a first shift role from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
