Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain, and operate machinery. You will ensure the continuous and efficient running of production. A successful machine operator is reliable, attentive to detail, and adheres to safety standards. On-the-job training is available, and a willingness to learn and improve is essential. The goal is to ensure smooth production procedures to maximize efficiency and profits.

Responsibilities

+ Assist punch press operators with cutting and setting up materials

+ Use a shear to cut metal sheets

+ Utilize a tape measure to ensure accuracy

+ Use a calculator for adding and subtracting decimals

+ Set up machines, including calibration and cleaning, to start a production cycle

+ Control and adjust machine settings, such as speed

+ Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines

+ Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools

+ Test the operation of machines periodically

Work Environment

The work environment is non-temperature controlled, with bay doors open in the summer and fans operating constantly. It is fairly clean, though louder in some areas, with ear and eye protection provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.92 - $23.92/hr.
