Job Title: Construction General Laborer

Job Description

As a Construction General Laborer, you will work alongside duct and kitchen cleaning crews to assist crew leaders with cleanup tasks. Your work will involve using various methods and equipment to complete these tasks efficiently. You will visit different commercial facilities, hospitals, and industrial buildings to perform assigned duties. While most cleaning will be done outside vents, there may be occasions where you will need to crawl into tight spaces to complete the cleanups. You will meet daily at the shop and travel to different sites to complete jobs, with some overnight travel required and compensated for.

Responsibilities

+ Assist crew leaders with cleanup tasks.

+ Use various methods and equipment for cleaning.

+ Travel to different commercial, hospital, and industrial sites.

+ Perform cleaning both outside and inside vent spaces.

+ Meet at the shop daily and travel to job sites.

+ Participate in overnight travel when required.

Essential Skills

+ 6+ months of general labor experience.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Comfortable working on flat rooftops and in smaller spaces.

+ Flexible with shift schedules, including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.

+ Mechanically inclined with knowledge of basic hand tools.

+ Valid driver's license or state ID.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in air duct or kitchen exhaust fan cleaning.

+ Familiarity with using vacuums and power washers.

+ Leadership experience or potential to lead crews.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
