We are seeking candidates for the position of Land Survey Technician in Lexington, KY. Ideal candidates will have a passion for building a career in the Land Surveying discipline, encompassing a wide range of surveying activities.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct field surveys with a survey crew of 1-2 people for topographic, boundary, construction layout, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys.
+ Ensure high-level detail towards surface features and underground utility assets.
+ Maintain accuracy and reduce errors in all surveying activities.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or GED is required.
+ Minimum of 6 months of experience in surveying.
+ At least 1 year of experience using AutoCAD.
+ Ability to walk and be on feet for extensive periods of time.
+ Technical writing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree is a plus.
+ Clean driving record.
Work Environment
The role involves reporting to different local sites daily, starting at the Lexington office and using a company vehicle for travel. While most assignments are local, occasional travel to Indiana or Tennessee may be required. All expenses are covered by a company credit card. On rainy days, work will be conducted in the office using AutoCAD. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement, including mentoring and software training, with the potential for licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
