    Job Title: Lab Technician

    Job Description

    + Join our dynamic team as a Lab Technician in the upstream lab, where you will play a crucial role in quality control and analytical chemistry processes. You will work with a small team and be trained by a lead technician.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform quality control tests using 10 ASTM methods.

    + Measure and analyze density and viscosity.

    + Operate and maintain centrifuge equipment.

    + Conduct sulfur testing and gas chromatography.

    + Perform titration and wet chemistry techniques.

    + Enter and manage data accurately.

    + Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 1 year working experience in a laboratory setting.

    + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Life Science.

    + Proficiency in quality control and analytical chemistry.

    + Ability to follow SOPs accurately.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with gas chromatography and titration.

    + Strong data entry skills.

     

    Work Environment

     

    + The position is Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM. You will work in a small team of two other technicians and receive training from a lead technician on shift. Currently, the role is contract-based, but there is potential for conversion to a permanent position if performance is satisfactory.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    + This is a Contract position based out of Saint Rose, Louisiana.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
