Overview:

We are currently hiring an Engineering Technician for a long term, multi year contract in Newport News, VA.

Description:

+ Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.

+ Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.

+ Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.

+ Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.

+ Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.

+ Maintains effective customer communications and relations.

Qualifications:

+ Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline.

+ 3 years of relevant experience.

+ PLC troubleshooting.

+ Heavy Industrial experience.

+ Ability to read and produce electrical/controls schematics.

+ Review and update AUTOCAD drawings.

+ Troubleshooting industrial machinery.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.

+ Pay Rate: $35-$38/hr based on experience. (OT pays 1.5x)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
