    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team with working hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, offering some flexibility. This role holds the potential for a permanent position and involves performing quality-related activities associated with the nonconforming material control process, as well as being responsible for root cause analysis and continuous improvement. You will also engage in advanced quality planning processes, including First Article Inspections, FMEAs, and PPAPs. Additionally, you will work with customers and suppliers regarding audits as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform quality-related activities associated with nonconforming material control process.

    + Conduct root cause analysis.

    + Engage in advanced quality planning processes, including First Article Inspections, FMEAs, and PPAPs.

    + Implement continuous improvement strategies.

    + Collaborate with customers and suppliers regarding audits.

    Essential Skills

    + Quality engineering experience.

    + Root cause analysis proficiency.

    + Quality control expertise.

    + Audit experience.

    + Familiarity with PPAP and AS9100 standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + For QE Level 1: Minimum of an associate's degree and 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience.

    + For QE Level 2: Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of experience.

    + Experience in quality, engineering, machine shop, assembly, or functional testing is preferred.

    + Prior experience with Quality Management Systems, including document management, internal and external audits, nonconforming material control, and corrective action processes, is preferred.

    + Solid computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS Project and Visio is a plus.

    + Green Belt certification or equivalent CI/RCCA certification is preferred.

    + Lead auditor certification is preferred for QE Level 2.

    Work Environment

    This is a Contract position based out of Loves Park, Illinois.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
