Job Title: BIM DesignerJob Description
As a BIM Designer, you will create electrical drawings for facilities including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). You will perform basic system calculations, drawing production, master specification editing, and construction cost estimating while working under the supervision of a licensed professional. Your role includes responsibility for electrical layouts using Trimble Stations, ensuring that all documents and designs adhere to CAD standards and Quality Program Criteria. You will produce internal pre-fabrication plans and conduct quality control reviews to ensure finished materials align with plans. Additionally, you will attend clash detection meetings with other trades and general contractors to create detailed shop drawings for installation.
Responsibilities
+ Create electrical drawings for lighting, power, communication, security, and fire detection systems.
+ Perform system calculations, drawing production, and master specification editing.
+ Estimate construction costs and complete assignments using standard engineering techniques.
+ Design electrical layouts using Trimble Stations and ensure compliance with CAD standards.
+ Produce pre-fabrication plans and conduct quality control reviews.
+ Attend clash detection meetings to create detailed installation shop drawings.
+ Perform other duties as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit, BIM, and design.
+ Two or more years of experience in electrical, lighting, power, and building design.
+ Strong computer skills in Revit, Navisworks, and/or ACC.
+ Familiarity with Trimble and Evolve.
+ Strong ability to use Bluebeam solutions.
+ Working knowledge of commercial, industrial, or healthcare projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ An Associate's degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and switch between tasks.
+ Previous experience with an architectural or engineering consulting firm.
Work Environment
The role involves working in an environment that requires proficiency in using various design and modeling software, including Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam solutions. The position may involve collaboration with professionals from different trades, necessitating attendance at clash detection meetings. Candidates should be prepared to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work within a structured quality program framework. The work may include both office-based tasks and site visits.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
