Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and licensed Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our Electrical Department. This role involves providing technical leadership, overseeing the design and documentation of building electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

+ Lead and manage the Electrical Department, providing technical guidance and mentorship to staff.

+ Oversee the analysis, design, and documentation of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarm and life safety systems, and security and communication systems.

+ Prepare schematic designs, construction documents, and specifications in alignment with client requirements and code compliance.

+ Review and approve design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

+ Supervise construction-related services, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, conducting field/site surveys and observations, and attending coordination and project meetings.

+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, owners, product manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

+ Ensure accuracy and coordination of construction documents across all disciplines.

+ Serve as Project Manager for electrical scopes, managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

+ Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

+ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

+ Proficiency in industry-standard software including Revit, EasyPower, SKM Power Tools, AutoCAD, and other Autodesk programs.

+ Technical expertise in electrical power and distribution systems, lighting and lighting control systems, fire alarm and life safety systems, security and communication systems, short circuit and voltage drop analysis, field inspections, and construction support.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ LEED Accreditation preferred.

+ Facility design experience is required.

+ PE license highly preferred; if not available, an FE or SE license is acceptable.

+ If no license, 15-20+ years of relevant experience is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Beverly Hills, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
