    Job Title: Controls Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical control devices, assisting plant associates with technical queries, and providing solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with HMI and PLC systems and possess the ability to work both independently on smaller projects and collaboratively on larger tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and repair electrical control devices.

    + Assist plant associates with technical questions and potential solutions.

    + Investigate and resolve HMI and PLC issues as needed.

    + Interpret PLC Ladder logic effectively.

    + Work independently on smaller projects.

    + Travel extensively, between 40% to 90%, for project work.

    + Aid in the installation and startup of new equipment.

    + Read and interpret electrical drawings accurately.

    + Test and verify electrical wiring, including safety circuits, I/O, and communications.

    + Debug and test all software to ensure it meets project requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to troubleshoot and repair HMI and PLC systems.

    + Proficiency in interpreting PLC Ladder logic.

    + Experience with Fanuc PMC Controllers for at least two years.

    + Experience with Rockwell PLC Control for at least two years.

    + Minimum experience with Mitsubishi PLC control.

    + Two years of experience in an automation/manufacturing environment.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in electrical troubleshooting and schematic interpretation.

    + Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs and automation systems.

    Work Environment

    This position involves extensive travel to installation sites. Candidates should be prepared for heavy travel requirements, as well as the opportunity to earn 6-10 hours of overtime per week.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
