Junior Remediation Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Junior Remediation Technician to support construction and industrial job sites. As a key member of the team, you will operate environmental machinery and equipment, maintain these systems, and work with a variety of remediation systems including dual phase extraction, product skimming, hydrocarbon vapor removal, and bioremediation. Your role will also involve sampling for water, air, and soil.
Responsibilities
+ Operate and maintain environmental machinery and equipment.
+ Work with remediation systems such as dual phase extraction, product skimming, hydrocarbon vapor removal, and bioremediation.
+ Conduct sampling for water, air, and soil.
+ Serve as one of the sole staff members on the job site, managing multiple tasks.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certificate.
+ 1-5 years of experience with remediation system equipment (pumps, electrical systems, oil water separators, plumbing, etc.) or similar mechanical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and OSHA 30-hour Construction training are a plus, but not required. OSHA training will be provided as needed.
+ TWIC Card is a plus, and assistance will be provided to obtain one if necessary.
+ Experience or knowledge of hazardous materials and emergency response is desirable.
Work Environment
This is an outdoor position on construction and industrial sites. The work environment is dynamic and offers opportunities to gain certifications and trainings to advance in a remediation career path.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
