    Job Title: GC Chemist

    Job Description

    As a Chemist, you will provide accurate analytical services and results. You will perform routine extraction, chemical isolation, and sample clean-up using various techniques. You will also operate laboratory equipment and prepare reagents and analytical working standards according to current SOPs.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine extraction, chemical isolation, and sample clean-up using techniques such as blending, shaking, Soxhlet extraction, digestion, SPE, distillation/condensation, liquid-liquid partitioning, and chemical derivatization.

    + Extract samples and prepare reagents.

    + Operate laboratory equipment including blenders, nitrogen- and roto-evaporators, shakers, pH meters, and centrifuges.

    + Document and prepare reagents and analytical working standards independently according to current SOPs.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong experience in chemistry, analytical chemistry, and quality control.

    + Experience with bench chemistry and gas chromatography (GC-MS/MS).

    + Knowledge of mass spectrometry and gas chromatograph GS software.

    + Proficiency in sample preparation and extraction techniques.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Experience with general bench chemistry techniques.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $57200.00/yr.
