The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced and motivated **Event Captain** to join our **Design Cuisine** team! As an event captain, you will have the opportunity to ensure smooth food service for a variety of events and supervise front and back of house activity at **Historic Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello** !
This is a part-time, on-call role. Enjoy weekly paycheck, flexible schedules, referral program & more! Background and Drug screening is required for this role. **Compensation is $32 - 38/hour depending on experience.**
What you'll be doing:
+ Leading a team of event staff and kitchen staff to direct a successful service.
+ Facilitating transportation of equipment and service, maintaining inventory, ensuring maintenance of catering equipment and storage areas, and room decoration.
+ Handling customer service needs.
What we're looking for:
_Must-haves:_
+ Excellent communication and organization skills, attention to detail, and service knowledge.
+ At least two years of experience as a service lead or supervisor in a hotel or catering environment.
_Nice-to-haves:_
+ Food Handler’s certification
