We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payments, and maintaining financial records with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
+ Process invoices, work orders, and purchase orders for payments.
+ Verify approvals on requests according to the matrix and follow authorization limits per policy.
+ Run check reports and review them prior to generating checks and ACH payments.
+ Generate weekly checks following the payment cycle.
+ Process and maintain lien waivers.
+ Scan utilities and invoices into the system for approvals and coding.
+ Track closed lots and disconnect services for utilities.
+ Process wire transfer requests.
+ Generate and review reports from EBIX for compliance.
+ Generate and review the Auto Voucher Report daily.
+ Correspond with trades and your divisional team.
+ Assist with research for past due invoices.
+ Organize check copies and corresponding reports for yearly audits.
+ Perform filing and assist with special projects as needed.
+ Approve expense reports in Concur.
+ Engage in frequent interactions with vendors, multiple departments, and employees at all levels within the organization.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, data entry, and check processing.
+ Highly detail-oriented and organized.
+ Experience cutting checks.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.
+ Knowledge of construction accounting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma required; 2 or more years of college preferred.
+ 1+ years of customer service or vendor-facing experience.
+ Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
+ Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
+ Ability to use a 10-key by touch.
Work Environment
The position offers a flexible schedule with a start time between 6-8 AM. Initially, the role will be fully on-site for the first couple of months, transitioning to a hybrid model (2 days on-site, 3 days remote). The team operates in an open pit environment, fostering creativity and innovation at all levels. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
