    *UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND SCHOOL OF MEDICINE* *Department of Pathology* *Director of Cytogenetics* The Department of Pathology, University of Maryland School of Medicine invites applicants for a full-time Clinical Pathology faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, to serve as Director of Cytogenetics. Applicants must meet CLIA/CAP criteria to direct a cytogenetics lab including ABMGG certification in Clinical Cytogenetics or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics; MD and/or PhD candidates are eligible. The successful applicant will have demonstrated leadership experience or potential. Ability and willingness to support the department’s molecular pathology and biochemical genetics services is strongly preferred. Evidence of success in the academic setting, including teaching and publications, is required; external grant-funded research is desirable. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with degree, academic rank, and experience. The salary range is $130,000 - $310,000. The University of Maryland Pathology Associates Cytogenetics Laboratory provides cytogenetics, microarray, and FISH testing for the University of Maryland Medical Center and other University of Maryland Medical System hospitals. The laboratory completes approximately 4000 tests per year, supporting the NCI-designated Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center.
