• Senior Application Engineer

    Vanguard (Malvern, PA)


    Responsibilities:

    + Lead the design, development, and implementation of applications and databases, including third-party integrations.

    + Translate technical specs into clean, scalable code for new features and enhancements.

    + Elevate code through dev, test, and production environments with strong change control discipline.

    + Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.

    + Participate in design/code reviews and collaborate across teams to resolve technical challenges.

    + Understand client business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

    + Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    + Ensure compliance with IT and security policies.

    + Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

     

    5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ year in software development.

     

    Big Data concepts and practices, Data Lake experience a plus.

     

    Business Intelligence and data analytics experience a must.

     

    Experience with Python, Pandas, Apache Spark. Experience with Cloud/AWS, SQL, Postgres or other compatible DBMS.

     

    Databricks, dremio working experience.

     

    A proactive mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit.
