    About the role

     

    As a **Sr. Full Stack Lead Developer** , you will play a key role in architecting and delivering robust, scalable web applications that drive business value. You will be a trusted technical leader within our development team, guiding the full software lifecycle from concept to deployment. Your expertise will help shape our technology strategy while ensuring seamless collaboration across engineering, product, and design teams

    In this role, you will:

    + Lead the end-to-end development of full stack applications using modern frameworks and cloud technologies.

    + Architect and implement scalable backend services and intuitive frontend interfaces.

    + Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

    + Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

    + Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex issues across the stack.

    + Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for system architecture, APIs, and development processes.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in either Atlanta,GA or Birmingham, AL.

    What you need to have to be considered:

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

    + 12+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 3+ years in a **technical leadership** role

    + Strong expertise in **.NET Core / C#** and building RESTful APIs or microservices

    + Solid experience with **OpenShift (OCP)** or Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment

    + Experience in designing and implementing **event-driven systems** using **Apache Kafka** (or similar messaging systems)

    + Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and messaging patterns

    + Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)

    + Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.)

    + Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work in agile environments

    These will help you stand out:

    + Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

    + Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture

    + Exposure to front-end technologies (React, Angular) is a plus

    + Certification in Kubernetes, Kafka, or Microsoft technologies

    + Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical teams.

    + Familiarity with regulatory compliance in control system environments.

    + Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

    + Exposure to emerging technologies in industrial automation.

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    Applications will be accepted until October 19 th , 2025.

     

    The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
