Summer 2026 Commercial Banking Internship
Are you looking for professional experience at a great company in banking and finance? This might be the opportunity for you! We are looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company in our Commercial Banking Department. This nine-week internship helps college students gain meaningful work experience through targeted educational opportunities to develop them as future organizational leaders. Overview
The Commercial Banking team manages a diverse portfolio of business and real estate loans, advising clients, analyzing loan requests, and helping organizations achieve their financial and growth goals. Our team plays a critical role in driving economic development by ensuring businesses have the financial support they need to succeed. Interns will gain experience supporting relationship managers in areas such as portfolio management, credit analysis, covenant testing, due diligence, and more! Interns will learn how commercial bankers evaluate, structure, and manage relationships. Expect to gain exposure to the full commercial banking cycle, including underwriting, closing, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
+ Support Relationship Managers with portfolio and credit analysis
+ Assist with loan underwriting, documentation, and closing tasks
+ Support relationship managers with sales activities, client outreach, and networking events
+ Shadow and support lending teams to learn the lending cycle
+ Work on projects that provide exposure to cross-departmental areas
+ Support departmental projects that strengthen commercial banking relationships
Qualifications
+ Current full-time student enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program
+ Degree emphasis in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
+ Expected graduation date of May 2027 or May 2028

+ Attention to detail in reporting
+ Ability to collaborate with teams and balance multiple projects
+ Interest in business banking and financial services
+ Comfort using Excel and financial tools
+ Ability to analyze financial information
