    Purpose of Position: Sportsman’s Warehouse is seeking a Front Desk / Office Assistant to provide services ranging from reviewing, evaluating and consulting customers / gunsmiths on work performed while maintain general office duties.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Answers e-mail, social media, phone call and in person inquiries regarding services.

    • Assists customers with inquiries about Gunsmithing services offered.

    • Operate the service counter to assist walk in customers and deliveries.

    • Maintain service records of firearms waiting for service, in service, and ready for return to customer.

    • Assists Gunsmith Service Manager to ensure compliance with all State and Federal (ATF) regulations.

    • May assist in light servicing of firearms, including cleaning, mounting optics, Cerakoting and laser engraving.

    • Conduct and assist in firearm and product inventories at the Gunsmithing center.

    • Ensures all services are priced appropriately and parts / labor are paid for in accordance with company processes.

    • Order parts and tooling as required for customer and Gunsmith Center facilities.

    • Attends functions to support the business as needed, such as gun shows, and educational seminars

    • Pack and ensure shipment of customer firearms to final destination by owning the shipping and receiving duties in the office.

    • Reconcile department credit card on a weekly basis.

    • Order office / shop supplies for department.

    • Monitor repairs in ticketing system and ability to create reports and dashboards.

    • Familiarity with word press is a plus.

    • Ability to list firearms and parts on third party auction sites and follow up with closing the sale, shipping sold items to customers, and collecting payment.

    • Utilizing multiple tenders on the retail system and running reports to track daily sales.

    • Ensure that the entire department is clean, faced and straight at all times.

    Work Schedule:

    Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

     

    Hourly Full-time Non-Exempt position at 40 hours per week

     

    Occasional overtime depending on events at the facility with pre-approval

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    • Strong attention to detail and eye for perfection in work.

    • A thorough technical understanding of a wide range of firearms as well as common repairs and modifications

    • Great customer service, communication, and organizational skills. The ability to work closely with customers and co-workers is also required.

    • Ability to maintain quality and time standards as mandated by Sportsman’s Warehouse Policies.

    • Wide array of computer / technical skills and ability to learn new technology quickly.

    Education and Training

    • A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma are recommended.

    Physical Skills

    • Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break.

    • Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, carry and move items up to 50 pounds without assistance.

    • Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Ability to distinguish color to perform job functions.

    • Ability to hear and respond appropriately to facility commands.
