Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will respond to and investigate complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD and Navy regulations, and installation directives, rules and regulations. You will enforce force protection standards, respond to alarms, emergency calls, complaints, and participate in anti-terrorism events and training exercises. You will operate electronic tactical police communications equipment, including mobile data terminals to receive dispatches, respond to calls and complete official reports. You will perform traffic law enforcement using specialized equipment such as radar, breathalyzer. You will set up and conduct checkpoints/roadblocks at various locations throughout the installation in support of Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAMS) and to reduce criminal activity and ensure motor vehicle safety. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing aspects of law enforcement, antiterrorism, and physical security functions at military installations requiring use and deployment of specialized techniques, equipment, knowledge or training; 2) documenting law enforcement and security events and issuing citations; and 3) conducting internal and/or external investigations, inquiries or audits related to security matters where neglect, action, or inaction could cause an adverse effect on the installation's security. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 month of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Salary is based on geographical location, agency, occupation: Special Rates - OPM.gov A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. This position requires rotating shift work. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
