    CTG is seeking to fill a Strategic Initiatives Lead opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

     

    **Duration:** 6 months

    Overview:

    The Strategic Initiatives Lead partners with senior managers across the Bank to lead key initiatives that support strategic goals, strengthen risk management, and enhance operational efficiency. This role leads cross-functional teams of up to 10–20 members and may directly manage staff.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Define project scope and approach for departmental or divisional initiatives; manage resources and timelines.

    + Lead complex, high-visibility projects impacting multiple business areas.

    + Provide strategic and analytical support, including project design, reporting, and presentation to senior leadership.

    + Analyze and optimize data structures, processes, and workflows.

    + Collaborate across teams, address stakeholder concerns, and drive alignment on business priorities.

    + Ensure compliance with the Bank’s risk and regulatory standards; escalate issues as needed.

    + Foster an inclusive environment and maintain internal control standards.

    + Complete other related duties as assigned.

    Scope of Responsibilities:

    Leads cross-functional initiatives that impact multiple departments, managing up to 10–20 team members and ensuring projects align with corporate goals and regulatory expectations.

    Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

    Provides leadership, direction, and coaching to staff and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.

    Education and Experience Required:

    + Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant project leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Proven experience leading documentation of business requirements, process flows, and test cases.

    + Demonstrated success managing large-scale projects such as system migrations or business transformations.

    + Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

    Education and Experience Preferred:

    + Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

    + Experience with Loan Servicing operations and/or systems (AFSVision, LoanIQ, Fiserv).

    + Experience in financial services or banking environments.

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
